Well, with a little one on the way there was only one thing to do. Buy a cozy coupe and pimp it out.

No spinners like the Tempo? Your age is showing, Boss. But of course your painted it purple.

Good stuff, man. And once again, congrats!

Orginally I wanted different wheels, but the black wheels really work with the purple and black scheme. Plus I spent almost $100 on this project all told so I wanted to stop the financial bleeding.

I just acquired one of the first generation versions of these for my 18 month old. Has a really bent wheel arm so that needs some remediation, and I was thinking I’d pick up some of the Krylon Fusion plus a set of replacement stickers to make it fresh again. Did you have a source on fixing the wheels? Or just play it by ear. It’s not a terribly complex thing to mess around with, obviously.

I wonder where you got the idea for something like that?

Haha you did inspire me, although I had seen one done up before. Next year we will have to have a cozy coupe car show lol.

Just played it by ear. I ended up going to Canadian Tire, and getting some dowel that I sawed into two and used. I drilled through the coupe to mount the axels.

Getting the wheels off their axles is really tricky. I suggest angle griding them in half.

Of course I have fixed wheels for the the front so I don’t turn anymore but I’m gonna tow him with a rope so we’ll just drift.

remember to fab up some sort of seat belt or else you little one won’t be able to use it until he/she can sit fully on their own.

I just used the waist strap off of an old backpack. You can sort of see it in the second pic.

Nice. I never considered that. I was thinking I’d just have to wait until they can sit.
